Planning Opposition for Development at Acton Hill / Wildwood (Weeping Cross) – Planning Map 036c

Dear Parishioners,

Firstly, thank you for your support, and for those 100 or so of you who managed to spare your Friday evening to listen to Brian Wyatt, Len Bates, Ann Edgeller and Andy Adams – it was greatly appreciated to see so many of you passionate about this cause. The slides presented on Friday are attached to this email.
We are up against the clock, so time is not in our favour – we all have until noon on 31st May 2024 to get our objections in (either emailed or posted), which must be on the attached LPR PB2 Rep Form/s.

The Parish is appointing a Planning Expert to assist us to oppose the inclusion of Acton Hill as a housing development site (036c) in the South Staffs 2024 Local Plan.

We have a Crowdfunding site
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/actonhillplanning

Visit the site and please donate. We are meeting him this Friday for some initial advice.

Were raising £5,000 to Crowdfund for this Planning Expert to challenge the Local Plan

This is in respect of housing proposal by Barratt Homes (sold by Gladmans) at Wildwood to Acton Hill site.

It may ‘only’ seem like 81 houses for now, but we assure you, there will be 1000’s if this first site is approved in this plan, all the way down to Acton Trussell.

Currently £660 has been pledged and we are amazed at your generosity.

We have only been Crowdfunding for 72 hours.

Let’s see how quickly we can reach our target.

So, on to the completion of the ‘objection forms’

The link to the Local Plan 2024, currently under consultation is here: https://www.sstaffs.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/local-plan-review

Download as use as your reference when completing your LPR PB2 Form.

We have attached an Example LPR PB2 Form for reference (it’s complex, so take time to read the example, and ask us if you need assistance – email campaigns@batth.co.uk) and also a blank LRP PB2 Form for completion by you, Part A – your details and Part B – what you want to say, your reasons for objecting – must quote from the plan as in the example.

Thank you for reading this email and we are here to answer any questions you may have.

Kind regards,

Your Parish Council
