Sadly we have to tell you that Val passed away peacefully on Thursday 19th Feb, in Stafford County Hospital. Dave was at her bedside.

Val’s funeral cortege will leave School House at 12.30 and go up Common Lane to Joyce’s Lane. The School will pay their respects to Val as the cortege leaves.

A service of thanksgiving for Val’s life will be held at All Saints Church, Bednall (ST17 0SD) on Tuesday 17th March, 2.30pm, followed by a wake at The Moat House, Acton Trussell (ST17 0RJ). The service will be preceded by cremation at Stafford Crematorium (ST18 0XZ) at 1pm to which family and old/close friends are invited.

We kindly ask guests not to bring flowers and would prefer donations to two charities Val was fond of: Katherine House Hospice, Stafford and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.

Val loved colour, and we ask people to dress accordingly. We look forward to exchanging fond memories of Val with folk at the wake and it would be helpful if you could give some indication of whether or not you expect to be able to attend by text to Tom on 07815 959983 or email to t_barrow@btinternet.com.
