A reminder to keep your trees and hedges trimmed so they do not overhang a public footpath and cause an obstruction to pedestrians.

Staffordshire County Council and the Highways Agency may serve notice on the tree /hedge owner to trim/cut adequate clearance of hedges or trees encroaching onto pavements or roads. If the owner fails to have the work carried out, this may be undertaken by the authority who can then charge the owner.
