The aim is to promote community spirit in villages throughout the county by involving all ages. Currently, two villages in the parish enter the competition – Acton Trussell and Bednall.

Acton Trussell won the Best-Kept Village competition in its category (South Staffordshire small village) in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2021 and 2022.

Bednall won the Best-Kept Village competition in its category (South Staffordshire small village) in 2018 and 2019.

The Best-Kept Village competition is currently organised by The Community Foundation for Staffordshire
