Both our local churchyard’s have won Gold award’s at the 2022 Churchyard Awards

All Saints, Bednall                  GOLD AWARD NATURE FRIENDLY

Good access with tidy, neatly edged paths. The grass is well managed – mown regularly at the front of the church with areas of long grass left for wild life behind the church. Excellent weed free border  along the front boundary with colourful selection of planting. Graves generally well tended and a peaceful space by the area for the interment of ashes has benches providing space for resting and reflection. Excellent developments for the promotion of wild life include insect hotel in tree stump, hedge cuttings left as brashing, long grass and hedgehog house, and action taken to accommodate swallows nesting in church porch.
