Bednall Village Scarecrows are back!

We are delighted that our Village has decided to bring back the beloved Scarecrows this year and we do hope we can continue this tradition each year going forward too. Some of you may have noticed that the Community Scarecrows have already been placed around the Village (in the Church yard and at the War memorial). These Scarecrows have been lovingly created with the Community Foundation grant, which was awarded to our Made With Love Craft Group and a variety of donations from our Village members.

A huge thanks To Michelle Kenny, Elaine Le Montais and Toni Castle for organising their return and for holding a Scarecrow Workshop, also thank you to the members of the craft group who spent the day creating the fantastic community Scarecrows and to Terry and Alex for making sure they are nicely secured in the ground too. We do hope everyone can participate in making/creating their own Scarecrows to display outside their homes and gardens. There will be prize for the best Scarecrow in Bednall and we will also automatically be added to the Bednall, Acton Trussell and Teddesley Hay Community scarecrow Competition too which is being run alongside ours.

Scarecrows will be displayed from the 1st June until the end of August, you may start putting your own scarecrows up anytime from now, there is no theme this year, so let your imaginations run wild and we hope as many of you participate and enjoy making them! we really look forward to seeing all of your creations and hope this brings lots of fun to the Village.

Please see the photos of the Community Scarecrows and the Made With Love Craft Group creating them.

We hope you love them as much as we do and can take some inspiration for your own Scarecrows.
