Mill Lane: Impending Closure for Repairs

Dear residents of the parish,

After a few delays the scheduled full repair of Mill Lane is imminent and may start with only a short notice period ahead of the road closure.

The Parish Council have been working closely with the SCC Roads Team on potholes and blocked drains all around the Parish.

We know it is a priority to all our Residents, walkers, cyclists and motorists and we know some have had damage to tyres and vehicles.

You will have seen some of the worst potholes and blocked drains resolved in January. Mill Lane, from Acton Gate into Acton Trussell, will be properly repaired.

The works will close the road for an estimated 2-4 days and nights.

Diversions will be in place but will involve routes via Penkridge (south) or Weeping Cross (north).

This is in the best interests of all Parish Residents; many of you use this route to the M6 or to Stafford. Please be patient and understanding of the short term inconvenience.

We continue to prioritise road surface issues across the whole parish and it is imperative that we all report road defects via the MyStaffs app with pictures – not closeups (to allow the inspector to see perspective). See below for links to the app.
