Here in the village, we have a long tradition of safari suppers and community hospitality. With that in mind, we got the idea that it would be good to produce a village recipe book which we could sell in the run up to Christmas, to raise funds for the planned restoration of All Saints church.

What we were thinking was people could forward us up to three recipes, starter, main and pudding that they either enjoy cooking, or are family favourites. Breads, and pastries/cakes could also be included, and it doesn’t have to be anything unusual. A photograph would be great, but not essential, and the recipe can either be named, or anonymous, as folks prefer. We would try use all the recipes, unless of course there are duplicates. How about providing us your best Christmas, Easter, Summer BBQ or Harvest favourites? Maybe let us in to your secret menus for a successful safari supper!

We really hope there will be a keenness to get involved, so please folks, get your aprons on and get cooking! Please supply your recipe’s before the end of October, to give us a chance to put it together, publish( which we will pay for). and hopefully sell some copies before Christmas .
