Dear All,
It’s that time of year when we are beginning to get busy for Christmas. This year because of the rise in food and fuel costs we all think twice about buying those extras for the festive season.
But the need to help out is greater than ever.
Talking to voluntary staff at the Food Bank Centre, the number of families queueing round the block waiting for emergency basic food items has increased alarmingly.
It is hoped that a food bank run could take place towards the end of November. Basic items such as, tinned meat, vegetables, soup, fruit, custard, pasta, tea and coffee are all needed.
Any luxury items such as chocolates and mince pies are such a treat.
If you wish to donate any on these items the red food box is in All Saints church porch.
If you are unable to get to the porch you may wish to give a cash donation and bulk purchases can be ordered and bought.
Thanking you in anticipation.
